Education

Chris earned his PhD in Educational Computing from the University of North Texas, his MA in Educational Technology from Pepperdine University. His undergraduate work was completed at the University of California, Santa Barbara where he earned his BA with a double major in Music Performance and Environmental Studies.

Experience

Prior to coming to Fusion, Chris was Director of the Virtual Learning Academy in Lewisville ISD for six years. Prior to that he served 21 years at Greenhill School in Addison, TX where he was Director of Instructional Technology, and taught high school sciences and computer science. Chris started his career teaching Middle School Band, Science and Computer Science for 7 years in Los Angeles Unified School District. Chris is an adjunct professor in the Graduate School of Education at Texas A&M University, Commerce.

Fun Facts and Hobbies

  • Chris was a competitive figure skater competing as a junior pair with is sister as his partner
  • For 20 summers, he lived in Yellowstone National Park where his father was a summer ranger. Many of these summers he lived in log cabins in the Yellowstone backcountry.
  • Chris loves outdoor activities such as backpacking, fly fishing, and cycling. He is also an avid photographer.
